ARTIST STATEMENT
I make as a form of exploring dreamlike, unexplored places, of scenes of what could be. I explore themes of memory and identity as a way to question roles of dominance and authorship. My work touches on the idea of “coming upon,” of things found or rediscovered as a way to better understand who we are in relation to everything else. Exploration of ideas guides my practice into various mediums.
BIO
I was born in Guadalajara, MX but moved to Houston, TX at a young age. With a couple of stints in New York, I now call Austin, TX home. I have a Bachelor of Science in Radio-Television-Film and a Master’s degree in Architecture. I am a practicing architect and artist.
